When we think about education we tend to think about what others will teach us. This can at times subtly lead us not to think for ourselves but rather to just stick to what has been given to us (the narrative). But in fact the more important part of education is that it must equip us to think!

"Analytical thinking" involves breaking down complex information into smaller parts, while "Critical thinking" means making reasoned judgments that are logical and well thought out. It is a way of thinking in which you don't simply accept all arguments and conclusions you are exposed to, but rather have an attitude involving questioning such arguments and conclusions, and taking outside knowledge into account while evaluating information.
